Compatible with the Eco-twin, Eco-pilot and Eco-multi, TUBES is a mobile device ideal for temporary cycle counting, designed to count bicycles in two different environments:

TUBES used on shared road

Two tubes are laid 30 cm (12 in) apart over the road perpendicular to the traffic flow.  Cycles are very accurately identified in mixed traffic such as buses, cars and motorcycles.

TUBES used on greenways

One tube is laid on the cycle path perpendicularly to the traffic flow. When a cycle passes over the tube, the system recognises the two wheels and makes a count. Two tubes may be used to detect the direction of cyclists.

TUBES has an accuracy of +/-5% on shared roads (motorcycles are ignored) and +/-5 % on dedicated cycle paths, even for groups of cyclists.
