Traffic Technology’s SID speed Indicator Devices offer site Health and Safety Managers with a non-confrontational, proactive approach to the problem of speeding drivers.

SID devices have been installed on the half-mile long access roads to the main London Underground maintenance depots.

Although the depots are only accessible by London Underground staff and contractors, drivers were tempted to speed; as the roads are often bordered by trees, falling leaves created a slippery surface, adding to the danger created by speeding drivers.

Recognising the potential for serious speed-related accidents, rail unions requested speed reduction measures be installed, it was decided that SID would fit the bill.
