The SDR Radar Traffic Classifier provides traffic engineers with a reliable, robust alternative to older traffic monitoring technologies.

The SDR is easy to setup at the roadside with a PDA (Palm Pilot), without interrupting traffic flow. Data may be monitored online and is uninfluenced and more "real" than data collected by loop or tube sensors.

The SDR classifier monitors and stores the data of up to 1.6 million vehicles in two directions, recording their arrival date and time, speed, length and direction. The setup and retrieval of data is easily carried out using either a PDA (Palm) or via wireless connection (GPRS or Bluetooth).  Intelligent power management allows the SDR to operate for up to 21 days.

With the increasing traffic volumes, the SDR range of traffic data recorders has been designed to eliminate the high risks associated with in-road working,  providing an efficient, safe method of detecting vehicles, without the need for tubes or loops.

There are no hidden costs for expensive additional analysis software, as the SDR is supplied complete with all accessories and Excel analysis software.  All information is stored in the 128 MB memory and can be downloaded via RS232, or optional Bluetooth or GPRS communications.
